Miles of World Class Beaches
Maui Beaches
Maui is known for its world class beaches
with over 120 miles of coastline and 30
miles of beaches. Many of these are easily
accessible parks with restroom facilities,
picnic tables and lifeguards. Other beaches
offer seclusion and privacy to create that
romantic get-a-way.
Although you’ll find black and red sand
beaches in a couple of locations most of
Maui’s beaches have beautiful white sand
that is free of debris and seaweed. Several
of Maui’s beaches have been rated as
world-class for their sand, surf,
snorkeling, and romance. Beach access is
usually good but parking can become more
difficult as the morning passes. Also
realize that the sun in Maui is probably
stronger than you’re used to and it’s very
easy to get burned. Bring along a lot of
sunscreen and be careful. Also it's usually
a good idea to bring a hat and a t-shirt
for covering up when needed.
